The Community Scientist Research Advocacy Program’s mission is to develop the manpower for research advocates who can work closely with cancer scientists to address cancer health disparities. Our program is focused on training minorities in Florida and California in research advocacy. The program consisted of several weeks of didactic lectures, self-guided learning, an in person lab day, project development and implementation, and evaluation.
