The Bioinformatics, Statistical and Methodological Core (BSMC) at CaRE2 Health Equity Center will provide the data management, data cleaning, data storage, and data release to public databases for all information generated by our center. The also provides bioinformatics, statistical and methodological support and educational opportunities.
The Bioinformatics Core enables CaRE2 members and other investigators from the three participating institutions to submit requests for bioinformatics, statistical and methodological support. This support includes biostatistical analysis.

CaRE2 Bioinformatics modules were developed to provide bioinformatics training to underrepresented minority (URM) trainees and early stage investigators (ESIs) in cancer health disparities research that promotes their individual career development toward conducting translational cancer research focused on the cancer disparities among Blacks and Latino populations.
CaRE2 Bioinformatics also provides the public in general access to free training as well as materials to continue developing skills related with bioinformatics and biostatistics. Specifically, the training focused on installing R, RStudio and practicing through these statistical software programs and bioconductors packages and also using Terminal.
If you share our interest in reducing cancer health disparities, please consider becoming a member of the CaRE² center. Investigators, trainees, community leaders, and advocates are welcome.
