On August 10, 2019 we had our first bicoastal and bilingual training for
CaRE2 community advocates. Advocates from all catchment areas in Florida and California who assist with our community- based education activities were trained at a joint workshop conducted simultaneously at
CaRE2@FAMU and CaRE2@USC. The workshop was conducted in both English and Spanish, with simultaneous live broadcasting via Zoom, so that participants could participate in the language of their choice. The Plenary Lecture was delivered in both English (by MPI Dr. R. Renee Reams) and in Spanish (by MPI Dr. Mariana Stern).
