Addressing the Challenges of COVID-19 in Black and Latino Communities

The Community Outreach Core for CaRE2@UF is proud to be part of the Florida Community Engagement Alliance (CEAL) Against COVID-19, an NIH funded collaboration between University of Florida, Florida A&M University and University of Miami. On Friday, December 18, Ms. Jessica Otero, the National Communications Group Representative of the Florida CEAL team moderated an open panel discussion with the leaders of each participating institution: Dr. Folakemi Odedina from University of Florida, Dr. Olveen Carrasquillo, from University of Miami, and Dr. Cynthia Harris from Florida A&M University, in addition to Dr. Kizzmekia Corbett, the NIH Coronavirus Vaccines & Immunopathogenesis Team Lead, and Ms. Jessica Malaty Rivera, of The COVID Tracking Project. We are pleased to share a recording of this important discussion by and for members of the Black and Latinx community on COVID-19, vaccines, public health injustice and more. Click here to view a recording of the panel session. (Include link: https://mediasite.video.ufl.edu/Mediasite/Play/3a646ef57f154d028dae7b5b5cad64431d.)
