Congratulations to Diego Velarde

PhD student and CaRE2 trainee Diego Velarde just got funded by a supplement to Dr. Offringa’s R21 CA290319 aimed at studying the effect of single nucleotide polymorphisms on lung cancer in Black/African American individuals. The supplement will allow Diego to expand his lung cancer research to include a focus on cancer health disparities.
